Help A Broke Ho Not Be Broke No Mo
So end of last month my full time gig ended an entire month earlier than my colleagues and I had originally been told. I was pretty manic when my gig ended so I wasn't in the best position to properly prepare for the pause on paychecks. And when I'm manic/ depressed my finances basically fall apart until I can catch myself again. As such, I'm not in the greatest place at the moment. Short term gigs haven't been coming in steady nor have they paid much when they do come in, unemployment is honestly a joke, and I don't currently have a set start date for the new gig yet. I want to make sure that all of my bills stay paid and I don't get in trouble with my landlord or lose my health insurance (a loss for us all, truly).
The money will go toward:
My rent
My insurance payment
Internet
Electricity
A new CTA pass
And groceries
I absolutely HATE asking for help, it's never been something I've been good at. But, with the support of some loved ones, I've been forced to take my own advice: it's okay to reach out when you need it.
Donate what you can. If you can't donate, i'd love your good vibes. I'm a big fan of good vibes. And when my new gig starts and, I'll pay it forward by donating the amount raised to orgs that needs the funds.
Thank you so much.
In Love and Solidarity,
Ariel
