Help a Caregiver Bounce Back from Hardship

Donation protected
Dear friends, I'm writing you today on behalf of Ryan & his mom, Beverly, from Tampa, Fl.

Ryan is a good friend, a wonderful son, and a dedicated long term caregiver for his mom, Beverly, who has suffered from an overwhelming number of major health events in the past few years.

Ryan has had an incredibly tough year+, full-time caregiving for his mom while trying to keep things afloat financially. Together, they have fought through her cancer diagnosis & chemotherapy, a quadruple bypass surgery, a subsequent cardiac arrest, and years worth of therapies, in-home care, facility care, and rehabilitation.

Ryan has been responsible for tracking and administering medication, giving insulin injections four times a day, preparing meals, helping Beverly in and out of bed, and meeting all other needs as they arise. To keep her safe and cared for, he could never leave the house for more than a couple hours at a time (without someone volunteering to help).

The responsibilities and time commitment of caregiving have cost Ryan his own health, mental health, impacted his relationships, and ultimately cost him his employment. He has a new resume and is actively pursuing a new job, but unforseen bills, regular expenses, astronomical healthcare costs, and a continued need to provide aid to his mother means costs have been piling up for awhile.

Ryan is so close to getting through this, but is struggling to survive the summer as he searches for his next job. We don't want to see everything fall apart financially right before the finish line. Not paying rent, or losing his bank account to insufficient funds would be insurmountable setbacks. With a little help, I believe we can prevent this and give Ryan the time to get on track with a sustainable plan for the future. Healthcare plans for Ryan and Beverly have partially improved the situation, allowing Ryan an opportunity to focus on rebuilding things.

Let's help Ryan bridge the gap to find new employment, get that first paycheck, and get his feet back under him so he can continue to provide for himself and his mother, and improve his health. Here is a breakdown of their current needs:

- Rent - $2000
- Internet, Phone, Storage - $500
- Loan Payment - $300
- Groceries - $500
- Mom Healthcare Items - $200
- Additonal Groceries, Phone, Storage, and replenishing items lost during the Hurricane, particularly food. - $1500

This would spin the plates til end of October maybe which is all he'll hopefully need.

Ryan here:
"Hurricane Helene also ravaged the area. We lost the food in the house and need to be able to purchase it. We need to bounce back, so I can work and take care of my mom.

Thank you so much!"

Cooper again:
Please give if you can and share this GoFundMe to as many friends as possible. Let's give Ryan and his mom the support they deserve to pull through this tough time.

With love,

Cooper
