Help A Child with Cerebral Palsy & Seizures
Donation protected
This is Miguel, a 19-year-old Jamaican child diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Seizures at birth due to careless mistakes made by nurses and doctors at the Port Antonio Hospital in Portland, Jamaica. Later on, he was diagnosed with Scoliosis and bleeding ulcers. Because of these series of diagnoses, in addition to frequent spells of vomiting blood and his inability to walk or talk, his mother was ordered by his Doctor to not work. As a result, his mother (who is a single mom) is unable to afford basic needs or pay bills. His mother applied for a health card to get assistance with Miguel's medical expenses in 2014 and a second time in 2017 and has yet to receive this card from the ministry of health. With no means of income or financial help, Miguel is suffering daily from his illnesses. His situation needs the attention of the Jamaican government especially the local Member of Parliament for East Portland Ann-Marie. Miguel's mother is in great need of funds to pay for his medicinal expenses that average approximately $20,000 JMD per month. Food expenses are about $10,000 JMD per month since he can only eat crushed or minced foods. Additional expenses include Transportation to medical appointments in Kingston: $20,000 JMD per appointment Hospital fees vary from $20,000 -40,000 JMD per visit and depends on the nature of the visit. Utility Bills: $15,000 JMD per month. Any help would be highly appreciated. Help can even be in the form of sharing this campaign. Miguel is such a pleasant soul and I have the pleasure of being his cousin, no matter the adversity he faces, he is always happy. PLEASE HELP MIGUEL.
