Help a dancer get to Korea after suspicious dismissal

Hello, my name is Daniel AKA Frecktile, and I’m a passionate dancer from Australia who has been working tirelessly within my niche to pursue my dream of sharing my art, specifically fingertutting, with the world. I've been planning to travel to Korea in January to connect with other dancers, collaborate, and grow as an artist. This opportunity was everything to me, and I believed it would open doors to new possibilities.

However, I’ve recently faced an unexpected setback. Recently I got injured, I had peeled off most of my nail with a fruit peeler at work and I had to go hospital and I could not work for nearly 1 month. This had also heavily impacted my dance. I then came back to work for 4 days to a manager that used to be my friend who I took into that bar with me who became cold and distant towards me after my injury and was not welcoming and secretive about changes made, almost as if to sabotage me.

I was ill the next week and the second day I had the sickness I got a message on messenger saying I was ‘let go’ with no warnings, no notice of leave and for very vague reasons that aren’t true and no one that I’ve ever worked with would believe. I believe I was fired out of a grudge against me. I felt the situation was extremely unfair towards me.

Now, the future I had been working toward is in jeopardy. Without my job, I've lost my main income. This trip was supposed to potentially be a turning point in my career – a chance to collaborate with incredible dancers and share my passion with others. But now, everything I’ve worked for is hanging by a thread.

Why I’m Asking for Help:

I’m reaching out because I need your help to stay afloat during this challenging time. I’m aiming to raise at least $5000 to cover my living expenses and book my flight and accommodation in Korea. The opportunity to work with dancers in Korea would not only help me grow as an artist through collaboration but would also allow me to take the next step in my journey of sharing my art with the world. I don't want my art to be just to me in my bedroom and my followers online.
