Help a Dancer Heal After Tragic Accident

“In the Blink of an Eye, My Life Changed Forever”

On December 17th, my life was shattered in an instant. What started as an ordinary day—a quick trip to get my oil and tires checked—turned into a nightmare I couldn’t have imagined. I was in a scooter vs. car accident that left me broken in every way—physically, emotionally, and financially.

I was rushed to Jackson Trauma Center, where I spent after a extensive surgery six agonizing days in the hospital. The injuries to my leg are severe, leaving me unable to walk, sit comfortably, or even flex my foot without excruciating pain. The nerve pain has been relentless—waves of unbearable shocks that leave me screaming and crying for hours on end. The medications help to but are limited, and even basic movements feel impossible.

For weeks, I’ve been completely bedridden. Tasks that were once simple—showering, eating, or even using the bathroom—now require assistance, leaving me feeling helpless and stripped of my independence. My hair has become matted and tangled from lying in bed for so long, a heartbreaking reminder of how much I’ve lost control over my life.

What’s hardest for me is knowing that my livelihood is gone for now. As a dancer and server, my body is my work, and not being able to move or function has left me without a way to support myself. I’ve always been independent, someone who took pride in solving my own problems and never asking for help. But this time, the weight is too much to bear alone.

The medical bills from my time at Jackson Trauma Center are overwhelming, and the road to recovery is going to be long and expensive. I’ll need ongoing care, physical therapy, and time—time I can’t spend working or earning the income I relied on.

This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been, and asking for help isn’t easy for me. But I’m reaching out now because I have no other choice. I need help to get through this—to heal, to regain my independence, and to start putting the pieces of my life back together.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me. If you can’t, even sharing my story with others would be a tremendous gift. Your kindness and support are the light I need during this incredibly dark and painful time.

Thank you for helping me find hope in the midst of this heartbreak.
