Help a Deaf artist study the only Deaf theatre course abroad

Hi, I’m Todd.

I’m a passionate 23 year old Deaf artist, and I’ve just been offered an incredible, life-changing opportunity to study a Bachelor of Performance in Scotland. The only university degree in the world dedicated to Deaf performers in a fully accessible, Deaf-led environment.

This means learning in a space where Deaf culture, language, and expression are not only accepted but truly celebrated. I’ll be surrounded by Deaf lecturers, Deaf peers, and have full-time access to BSL interpreters when needed.

As a Deaf theatre advocate, this is a chance to grow and foster our community. This opportunity is more than just study. It’s a chance to grow, to dream bigger, and to bring back global knowledge to empower our Deaf arts community at home.

But studying overseas comes at a cost. Tuition fees, travel, and living expenses are a real hurdle. That’s why I’m reaching out to my community, friends, artists, allies, and supporters to ask for your help.
