Help a family in Gaza to survive the dire winter

I am Nadia, I live in Germany, and I try currently to help some families in Gaza.

I met Ahmed through social media, and he asked me to support him and create a campaign for him and his family. Ahmed explains his story:

My name is Ahmed Salem Qadih from Gaza. I am 16 years old.

We are a family of 8 members. We live currently in the suburbs of Khan Yunis, between hunger, thirst, and heat. My father has cancer and is still suffering from this disease.

Our financial situation is very difficult in light of the war. We were displaced from the village of Khuza’a, where we were living, because of the continuous bombing on it.

One night, during our displacement from the eastern region to Al-Mawasi, my only sister, Habiba, was lost in the chaos of rubble and gunfire. Within hours, we found her. But now she panics when she hears the sound of shelling.

Please, I want to help my father, survive the war and afterwards rebuild our destroyed house. Thank you.

Their sons: Muhammad (17), Ahmed (16), Habib (15), Omar (12) and Sajid (6).

Their daughter: Habiba (9).

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening by leaps and bounds. With the onset of winter and the first rains, many families will have to face the cold and shortages of food and water without even a shelter to protect them. Many displaced people have been living for months in a tent, many of which have deteriorated or become unusable. The rains are causing sewage to flood everything in the absence of a sewerage system that has been largely destroyed, so that poor hygiene conditions will be further eroded. This will lead to an increase in diseases and epidemics.

I therefore ask all those who are willing to help to do their bit to support this family and help them to cope with this precarious situation. The collected donations will go, among other things, to: Water, food, medicines and medical care expenses, personal hygiene items, clothing and footwear, repairs to the shelter or tent from rain, wind or fire damage, costs of recharging electrical equipment, costs of firewood to light fires for cooking food, sterilising water and heating due to cold winter temperatures.
