Help a Family in Need: Support a Father’s Medical Battle
Donation protected
My name is Farha, and I am the wife of Asif Siddique, a devoted family man and software engineer in Southern California. After a long and challenging journey, I, along with our two young children, Ariz (9) and Zara (5), finally joined Asif in the United States last year. We were thrilled to be reunited as a family and looked forward to exploring this beautiful country together.
Our lives took a sudden and devastating turn when Asif unexpectedly developed acute pancreatitis. He was admitted to Los Robles Hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma. He was later moved to the UCLA Medical Center and has remained in the hospital in grave condition since April 2023. Every time we visit the hospital, the children keep asking when their dad will be able to come back home and give them a big hug.
I am new to this country, with no family to lean on. Due to my spousal visa status, I am unable to work. I am grateful to the community and Asif's former colleagues for helping support me and my two children during the last 16 months. On behalf of our family, I am humbly reaching out to our community members, Asif’s former colleagues, friends, and kind-hearted well-wishers for help. We desperately need support to cover Asif’s mounting medical expenses and to sustain our living costs while he fights for his life. Asif’s condition remains critical, with no clear path to recovery or discharge in sight.
Please, if you can, contribute to help us during this incredibly difficult time. We also ask for your duas (prayers) and good wishes for Asif’s recovery, so that he can return to being the loving husband and caring father that he has always been.
With gratitude,
Farha
