Our Story :
I am Thaer Yousef from Gaza, 32 years old, a Communications Engineer.
I work for an online software company, but because of the war, I lost my home and my job because of the internet outage.
My family and I are currently in Gaza, enduring a relentless and brutal war since October 7, 2023.
Why We Need Your Help?
We are desperately seeking funds to escape Gaza and find safety in another country. Our target is to raise $40,000. This money will be used to cover the cost of exiting Gaza through the Rafah crossing and to secure basic necessities once we reach safety.

Our Situation :
I now live in a school for displaced people in the Nuseirat camp with my family. Since the beginning of the war on October 7, I have been living in my house, but because The ground invasion. We were displaced to Rafah on December 26, 2023, and we lived in a tent that lacked the minimum necessities of life. A nylon tent that did not protect from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. There was no water, food, or the minimum necessities of life. During this period, my house was bombed and destroyed. After several months, due to the invasion Rafah We left the tent and moved to Nuseirat camp (the second displacement), where I now live in Al-Dawa School for the displaced.
Displacement:
The first displacement from 12/26/2023 until 2/11/2024 in a nylon tent in Rafah. The second displacement from 2/12/2024 to the present day in Advocacy School for the Displaced
Family Members :
My family consists of 14 people
▪︎My Father, who is 80 years old, needs special health care and some medicines. He is an elderly man who is crippled and unable to move.
He needs some health supplies for the elderly, which are not available now in Gaza.
▪︎My Mother , who is 50 years old,
▪︎my pharmacist sister, Nusaiba , who lost her job Because of the war,
▪︎my younger sister Shaimaa ,
▪︎my brother Nael , who finished his university studies one month before the war, and the war came and eliminated all his ambitions to work.
He is now in great need of evacuation from Gaza in order to search for a suitable job opportunity for him.
▪︎My brother Omar is 19 years old and he finished high school with a grade of 80%, and when he started his studies The war came and he did not complete his studies.
He also needed to be evacuated from Gaza in order to complete his university studies.
▪︎My brother Haitham and his family, which consists of 3 members, the youngest of whom is the Child Yousef , who is 10 months old.
▪︎My brother Mohammed and his family, which consists of 4 individuals, the youngest of whom is the Child Yousef , who is 10 months old, and the girl Tahany, who is 3 years old.
Basic Needs:
We lack access to clean drinking water, food, and electricity. The blockade has restricted the entry of essential supplies.
Health :
My father, who is 80 years old, needs special health care and some medicines. He is an elderly man who is crippled and unable to move.
He needs some health supplies for the elderly, which are not available now in Gaza.
Living Conditions ;
We endure extreme weather conditions in tents, with freezing cold in winter and scorching heat in summer, without any basic living conditions.
How Funds Will Be Use :
The funds we raise will be used as follows:
Exit Fees : It costs $5,000 per person to exit Gaza through the Rafah crossing. For my family of five, we need $35000
Basic Necessities : The remaining $5000 will be used for rent, food, and basic living expenses once we reach Egypt, as we begin our search for a new home and work in a safer place.

We, the people of Gaza, do everything in our power to survive. The primary and ultimate goal of our striving is to stay alive by any means possible. Therefore, we must confront the reality of the scarcity of food, water, and medicine, the spread of diseases, the absence of electricity and cooking gas, as well as the psychological and social deformities resulting from genocide, personal breakdowns, and the loss of loved ones. We must forget about ourselves, our dreams, and aspirations. There is no time for complaints; we must find quick and immediate solutions to all these crises in order to stay alive. Staying alive does not only mean finding a place far from the rain of rockets (if it exists), but rather dealing urgently with all the aforementioned challenges. And now imagine a human being lives in this circle for more than 9 months!
