Hello, my name is Adella. Today, I’m reaching out to you not only as a mother but as a woman who has always strived to carry the weight of life on my own shoulders, for my family’s sake. Life changed in ways I could never have imagined when I suffered a stroke in May. Then, in September, I endured three more. Each one took a little more of my strength, leaving me unable to work and struggling to provide the most basic needs for my family. I’m now partially paralyzed on my right side, and my five children who are still at home are facing this nightmare with me
Before this, I was the rock for my children and my family. They relied on me to keep the lights on, the rent paid, and meals on the table. But since these strokes, I can no longer do that on my own. Going from a life of self-reliance to one where I now need to ask for help has been humbling, even painful. However, for the sake of my children’s future and their comfort, I am reaching out.
The next few months will be critical as I work to regain my strength and mobility. But as I’m focused on recovery, the reality is that our rent, food, and utility bills keep piling up, with no means to meet them. I don’t want to burden my children with fears of homelessness or the reality of an empty table. The thought of my kids waking up to a holiday season without any warmth or joy, with no Christmas surprises, breaks my heart. They say they understand, but they are still children, and I can see their sadness and worry.
If I could find the words to explain just how deeply I need this help, I would. For the next two to three months, I am humbly asking for support—any amount, no matter how small, will help carry us through. Your kindness will bring light and warmth to our home when we need it most. I believe that with this help, I’ll be able to recover enough to return to work and stand strong for my family once again.
This is a difficult journey, but knowing that there are people who care, people willing to offer a hand in these dark times, fills me with hope. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support is not just a donation; it’s a lifeline that will keep my family afloat through this. On top of the stroke I've been hit by hurricane Milton so I'm trying to recover from that and all the aftermath. I live in NPR FLORIDA. The funds are mainly to keep me afloat after the stroke but the hurricane knocked my lights off for 2 days A tree fell on my power line. I had to replace food from money I had for bills and evacuate with money that was meant for other bills. Fema gave me a voucher for a hotel but I told them I'm home now but they won't replace any funds. Money will go towards rent, light, household, other micalanious
