Help a Father of 3, Adam Mills Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
On August 4th, 2022 Adam Mills was besieged by not one, but two strokes simultaneously due to an unknown heart condition. Adam was rushed to the hospital and then spent 54 days in the Intensive Care Unit of Bryan Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was touch and go during this time, but he fought for his life. Adam also suffered from sepsis while in the ICU (a life-threatening bacterial infection of the bloodstream), went into respiratory failure, and had to have emergency surgery to save his life. After it was determined that is was safe enough, he was then transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation Center where he currently resides and has a long road to recovery both mentally and physically. Currently, he can walk with assistance, but can’t talk or show emotions on his face. He has good days and bad days, he is currently working with therapists at Madonna to regain his cognitive ability and mobility in his right arm.
Adam is only 39 years old, too young to have suffered two debilitating strokes. He is an extremely talented chef and was the Executive Sous Chef at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary for the last seven and a half years, faithfully serving the seminarians that attend the college and the staff that maintain it. He and his wife of 8 years, Alisha, have three young children...twins Kasem and Clara (aged 5), and Lillian (9 months.) He is an amazing Father, Husband, Son and Friend. They all miss him very much, as you can imagine, and longingly wait and pray for the day that Dad can come home.
Having been in the ICU for 54 days and still currently residing in a rehabilitation center is an unexpected and expensive turn of events. The medical bills are growing by the day and the Mills family could honestly use your help. Any amount that you can give to help pay down the medical expenses would be truly appreciated and put toward the best of causes…making Adam well enough so that he can return home to the family that loves him.
Thank you for your generosity.
