Help a homeless Veteran and, family find shelter

Bellingham VFW Post 7272 has one of our own in desperate need of assistance. Although both adults in the family work hard to earn a living and support their three, soon to be four children, it just isn’t enough to afford the skyrocketing cost of housing in our area.

The family right now is on the verge of being homeless, and with winter knocking on our door, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays only weeks away our VFW community needs to step up to help this struggling family.

They have applied to multiple state/federal assistance programs for help, however, due to demand, the waiting lists for housing assistance is excessive and they need help NOW.

Our goal is to raise $15,000.00, which the VFW will dispense monthly to subsidize their rent for up to two years, during which time they can work to improve their income levels and continue to request state / federal assistance for a permanent solution.
