Help an exonerated man rebuild his life
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Crystal Gresh. I am the niece of Tim who is also god father of one of my sons. Please help my uncle get back on his feet. He was recently released from prison after 10 years for something he didn’t do. He’s a great uncle and has always been wonderful to me and my 6 children. He lost everything due to this tragedy. His mother (who’s funeral he was not even allowed to attend), his home, his car, and his life savings. He’s a hard-working, kind man who would gladly help you if the roles were reversed, please give what you can and then share it so that others can help. No amount is too small. I guarantee what ever is donated will be used wisely. You can read below just a couple of the news headlines about him.

After his acquittal about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Puskas was taken in handcuffs and leg shackles to the Middlesex County Jail, where he was released about 8:30 p.m., Mazraani said.
The lawyer said he’s now trying to help Puskas re-enter society. Imprisonment has caused him “to lose everything, he has nothing,” Mazraani said, adding his client is involved with the Returning Citizens Support Group in Newark.
Mazranni noted Puskas had turned down a plea deal with prosecutors before the second trial that would have allowed him to walk free.
“The prosecutor’s office said, ‘Just say that you killed the kid and we’ll let you go. They just wanted him to admit to committing the crime,” Mazraani said.
“They offered him time served. My client said, ‘I didn’t do it. I’m innocent. It doesn’t matter if you’re telling me you’re going to open the jail cell door right now, I’m not going to say I did it just so I can get out of jail,” Mazraani said.
In a statement through Mazraani, Puskas offered his “heart and prayers” to the McCaw family.
“Contrary to what you have been led to believe, I did not assault nor kill your beloved son,” Puskas said.
The former inmate added he wished his mother were still alive “to see me cleared of this injustice.”
“I only wish my mother were still alive to see me cleared of this injustice,” Puskas said in a statement Thursday. He offered his “heart and prayers” to the McCaw family but said, "Contrary to what you have been led to believe, I did not assault nor kill your beloved son.”
Though the Tim’s future is bright, and he is working hard to be successful, there's still a long road ahead. He spent 10 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Unfortunately, financial compensation from the govt. for people who were locked in prison for years or decades for crimes they did not commit is lacking. My uncle has been left on his own, with virtually no support from the State, to rebuild.
All the funds will be transferred my uncle Timothy Puskas, the beneficiary of this account, to buy food, and provide housing and transportation.
Thank you
