Help a local mother and child in need

My name is Elizabeth Mitchell and I'm raising for a local mother and her child who are facing eviction.

Son has some challenges and uses the OSSE bus to get to school. Last year when OSSE's transit program imploded and left so many families across the city stranded and without transportation, this family was stuck. Mom had to cut back on her work hours as she waited hours for the bus to arrive in the morning and afternoon. Fewer hours at work meant she couldn't afford her rent and she quickly fell behind.

She tried to apply for rental assistance or any kind of assistance but has yet to find any help.

Mom and son are now facing eviction as they owe over $14,000 in back rent (over $7000 is just fees).

We're now looking to raise funds to settled their debts with the landlord and find them more appropriate housing that will meet their needs going forward.
