Help a Loving Dad Get Critical Heart Care

Well, here it goes. I'm not one to usually ask for help or to hope some big miracle comes along and makes everything better. But here I am asking.

I'm a father of 5 in a blended family, from baby to 15, and in less than 30 days, I will be needing to travel to Minnesota to see a group of specialists about my heart. I was born with a congenital heart defect that will, in time, require surgery to correct. The tests are to help figure out the best course of action and treatment plan going forward.

Expenses for room and board while up there and still being able to make sure that my family is taken care of while I am away is my worry, and I guess what I'm asking help with.
