Help a Man Realize his Religious Vocation

Hello. My name is Gilbert Repunte. I have recently been accepted into the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priests to become a clerical oblate. This program takes 2 years to complete. In that period, I will be learning Gregorian Chant, Latin, French, and Salesian spirituality. Afterward, I'll be assigned to an apostolate for apostolic work and further spiritual formation. The work usually involves assisting the priest day-to-day operations in an apostolate, catechesis, assisting at Mass and helping the priest live in a religious community along with daily prayer. Additionally, depending on my talents, I could be given special projects to help in the restoration of an apostolate and help form seminary and other oblate candidates.

 

This is a religious vocation I have been looking for for the last 3 years. I cannot wait to become an oblate. Not only does becoming an oblate require time, but prayer and perseverance. Part of that perseverance also involves financial obligations. It is required that I pay $600 a month for my formation and study. Additionally, the payments will also go towards my health insurance and other necessities such as clothing and toiletries since I do not have another source of income.
