Help Us Beat Breast Cancer - Alexis

Hi,

As most of you guys may be unaware Alexis was diagnosed with Stage 3b Breast cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) early March of 2021 at the age of 29. We have gone through 4 rounds of chemo therapy bi-weekly, as well as now finishing up our final 12 round weekly stint with the final chemotherapy, to total 16 rounds in all (She has 2 left!) We have been going to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert and it’s just been quite difficult during a pandemic to really navigate what to do and trying to keep our lives as normal as it could be at an even more unbelievable time. 

Sadly, it doesn’t end there. August 23rd our lives change and it all becomes permanent as we prepare for Alexis to have a double mastectomy while removing both of her lymph nodes, disallowing her to continue working and keeping her pretty much bed ridden and under strict activity control for 6-8 weeks. After completing this and finding ourselves in a suitable position, we then began Radiation therapy that is going to occur every day, Monday through Friday for a short period of time depending on how she reacts anywhere from 4-7 weeks. 

 Alexis is a mother, second to none, to our twin boy and girl 7 year olds Mason and Avery and they have been a huge part in helping me take care of Alexis.

We have worked so hard and she has continued working as much as possible not only at her job but being the amazing mom she is. However, the closer we get to the surgery we find ourselves trying to prepare as much as possible. Regardless, first and foremost, we are just glad that Alexis’s body has responded tremendously to the treatments.

This couldn’t of happened to a more gentle and kind soul who puts everyone but herself first. We are so close to putting the worst chapter of our lives behind us. Anything will help, if not just prayers. We thank you, and truly love all of you.
