Help a Mom Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Hello, my name is Marcela and my family was blindsided with my recent diagnosis of Renal Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer) in November 2024.

There is a 7cm tumor on my right kidney and is located in the middle of the kidney. There were concerning spots on my lungs which were biopsied and were confirmed that the cancer metastasized. This means I am in Stage 4. The good news is this is all treatable! The treatment will consist of immunotherapy for about two years. The goal is to shrink the masses in my lungs first. I will be scanned every 3 months for results in my lungs. If they are shrinking, then I can have my kidney removed (radical nephrectomy) which is an inpatient procedure (up to 7 days). Immunotherapy will continue for the remaining time.
