Help a Mom of 3 kids, replace a totaled car

Hi folks,

A good friend of mine, who is recently on her own and otherwise crushing it as a single mom of 3 kids, got into an accident with a drunk driver a few days ago, which totaled her 2009 Toyota Sienna van. Thankfully, she was not hurt in the accident and she didn't have her kids in the car.

This was her only car. The drunk didn't have insurance, and her insurance is barely giving her anything for the van (14 years old and a lot of miles on it). Funds are very tight and I am calling on the charity and goodwill of a lot of people that I don't even know to see if we can come together to help out.

If you can help, at all, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to try to raise her enough money so that she could get something reliable and not have to buy a used car being sold by someone else because they don't want it anymore. And something reasonably safe because she's got her family to take care of.
