- Yes, it has really gotten this bad. I am going to try to shorten this as much as I can. The past few years have really taken a toll on me, my mental state, and my life. Here’s the story . Sometimes I’m a little too nice and a little too gullible and I had let a good friend borrow my car. ….Well, her boyfriend, who was not supposed to be behind the wheel of my car, and she knew that, took it two days after Christmas, was arrested for driving under DUI suspension, and they impounded my car! My car is my lifeline. It’s how I make money ,it’s how my daughter gets anywhere. It’s the only thing I own in this world.
Ok, not so bad yet because they swore up and down not to worry that they’d have my car back to me tomorrow! Day after day, excuse after excuse, he (the boyfriend) decides screw me, he changed his mind, he’s not spending his money on getting my car out, I can deal with it. Dude, are you kidding me? You are just going to let me lose my car after I was so nice to you both, and now I’m going nuts and little by little my friend stops replying to my texts and picking up my calls. I’m still in shock at how this went down after everything I’ve done for them.
Guys, it’s January 12th and my car is still at C and D Towing in McKeesport/White Oak. Can you believe this? All I do is stress and cry. My mental state is seriously having an effect on my health. I honestly feel like I’m losing my mind because I’m at my wits' end. My hands are tied; I absolutely have no one. No one to help! I just don’t know what to do anymore. I’m going insane without my car. No car, no phone. I start a new job the second week of February and will have income tax in a few weeks, but my car will be gone by then.
Please find it in your hearts to help someone who would help you in a second if I had the power to do so. It’s just me and my 12-year-old daughter and we can’t get anywhere. She’s missing dance class, she has musical play practice, and just a life in general. I can barely get to a store. I am drowning in bills. I need my car to go out and work; I drive for Lyft. I mean, I literally do not have a dollar. Having my car taken from me has taken everything from me because that’s what I do to make any money right now. Please help. They are just going about their lives, renting other people’s vehicles like I never existed, and I just don’t know what to do anymore. Thank you for listening. I have opened up my heart, my home, my life for my friends and for people who are in need, and now I am in need. Please help me get my car back, please, it’s all I have.
