Help a Mother Battle High Grade Glioma Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Christina and this is my cousin Ann Marie's story. I beg you to pray for her! She has the kindest soul and giving heart. If there is anyway you can help or donate I would be grateful from the bottom of my heart! Thank you!
My name is Lisa Gottschalk and my BFF has gotten the worst news of her life. She was diagnosed with High grade Glioma, a very agreesive brain cancer. Ann Marie is a strong, beautiful, princess, warrior of the most high King!! She knows Jesus has great plans for her life right now and she needs us! As she is fighting for her life and not able to work-the bills are still coming in. I beg you to open your hearts and donate to this family. Ann Marie has a 13 year old son that she must stay strong for. He husband Mike is taking her to appointments, making sure her daily needs are met and doing the
best he can to keep her comfortable. So with out any income right now the family humbly asks for help. We thank God in advance and are believing that God will provide every need this family has.
This is her story!
- I was admitted to the hospital on Aug 15, 2024, with a brain tumor, after realizing that the words on my paper kept rotating from horizontal to vertical. They removed the tumor the following day with an emergency surgery. I have now been diagnosed with a high-grade stage 4 Glioma. My oncologist said I have about 14-24 months of survival rate. But I believe my God is bigger than any disease and if I can just touch the hem of his garment I may be healed. This will be the fight of my life and not just for me but my 13 year old son who is my best friend and needs his mom.
The doctor bills are already coming in and it's only been a little over a week. The tumor has affected my eyesight, balance and ability to work and drive. Once radiation starts, I have no idea what it will do to the good parts of my brain but the Radiologist is confident that I can keep the neurological skills I have right now.
I cannot drive, bend over or work in any kind of way. And the treatment process will be lengthy and powerful. I will loose my hair and be very sick for quit some time.
I am terrified to leave my young family alone. I'm the mom glue that holds things together. No matter how crazy I may get on occasion, I think that's normal for most of us mommas. I am willing to fight for my life no matter the cost because this life and the beautiful relationships that come into our lives are worth every fight. Time is short and I've always know that but at 55 I only had one leg in the ground. Now I feel like I'm up to my neck.
I appreciate any help that anyone can provide just so I can keep a roof over our heads and food on our table.
It is with a humble and broken heart that I write this because I have too much to live for and I'm way too young for this kind of fight. My poor husband is doing everything he can to keep on track with medications, getting to Dr appointments and caring for me at home. He needs a special prayer as well.
Side note: the neurologist said the tumor is environmental. I have been painting and hanging wallpaper for over 35 years and well established here in the New Smyrna Beach/Orlando area. He said it's not from paint but bad luck! How about that?!
To all my family, friends, and clients, I appreciate each and every one of you. Each of you has brightened my life in such a beautiful way thay words just can't express and I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart for making my life better because of your love and support.
I love you all and will fight the good fight of faith!
