Widowed Traveller & Kids - Emergency Live-in Vehicle Fund

I don't often post gofundme's, but I know this person in real life, and know this is very genuine situation, so want to help.

I've set-up this gofundme for Athena, who didn't really want me to put this up, but I convinced her :)

Some of you might know Athena—she’s been living on the road full-time for years.

Previously horsedawn but for the last year and a bit in her 3.5T Luton van (after the devastating and sudden loss her husband two years ago, leaving Athena with her 3 kids).

That van has been her home, her safe space, and everything in between... for her, her 3 kids, pet cat AND pet Raven!

A few days ago, disaster struck - her timing belt snapped, completely writing off the engine. Because of this, the van too is a write-off. She’s currently staying in a yard temporarily, safe, still in the incapacitated van, but this is very much short term as the yard owner has only agreed a short stay.

So, I’ve started this crowdfunder to help her get a reliable new van. She’s not looking for anything fancy, just something safe and solid, and legal.

I’ll be helping to carry out any work needed on the new van for free to help, but I've put this gofundme up to help raise funds.

We all need help sometimes, and right now, Athena and her kids could do with some. Even the smallest donation would help get a family back on the road.
