Help a Mum of 3 Compete in the Bench Press World Champs
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Sophie, and I am a proud mum of three wonderful boys. I have recently been given an incredible opportunity to join the GB Bench Press squad and compete in the Bench Press World Championships in Norway this May. This is a dream come true for me, and I am reaching out to seek your support in making it a reality.
Three years ago, I discovered the world of lifting, and it has completely transformed my life. Balancing training with a full-time job, a supportive husband, and raising three young boys has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. Lifting has not only introduced me to a new way of life but also connected me with an amazing community of strong, inspiring women. Most importantly, lifting has significantly improved my relationship with my body and mind following becoming a mum. It has given me confidence, strength, and a sense of empowerment that I carry with me every day.
Being invited to compete at the World Championships is a huge honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication I have put into this sport. However, participating in this event comes with significant costs, including travel expenses, accommodation, and the necessary competition kit.
Powerlifting is not a funded sport, and therefore I am humbly asking for your support to help cover these expenses. Your generous contributions will go directly towards:
- Travel costs to Norway
- Accommodation during the competition
- Competition kit and equipment
- Entry/anti-doping fees
This opportunity means the world to me, not just as an athlete but as a role model for my children and other women who aspire to achieve their dreams despite the challenges they face. Your support will not only help me compete at the highest level but also inspire others to pursue their passions.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can provide. Every little bit helps, and I am deeply grateful for your generosity.
