Help a Muslim brother with his education, bills and family

Hello,

I am raising charity for an individual at my university. I will not be naming the individual due to privacy reasons but we shall name him Ali. Ali is a 23 year old who has come to the UK from Pakistan to build a future for himself and his family back home. He has 2 elder sister and 2 younger sisters of whom are all orphans. When Ali was a child, his father was assassinated due to the nature of his job (journalism). A few weeks later, his mother also passed in a bomb blast intentionally. He had no one to turn to except for being placed in foster homes and boarding schools which he was separated from his siblings. An old friend of his father has kindly funded him to study in the UK to build a future for himself and so that he can help his family back home. His family live in a small village where his sister teaches Quran at a madrassa. Ali took up student accommodation last minute as his international student status only got accepted shortly before his study commenced. He was left with no choice but to live with a house of non Muslim girls of whom he felt very uncomfortable due to his religious background. The students would eat pork and drink alcohol which is against his religion. He made the choice to move into a different accommodation he later found as a replacement tenant that better suited his religious beliefs. He spoke to his landlord of the initial accommodation whom accepted a contract termination payment of £610 and also agreed to return his deposit of £450. The landlord later received the deposit from the holding agency and refused to return the deposit. Ali is being rejected left, right and centre for any jobs due to his international status therefore he is struggling for basic necessities after his monthly bills such as toiletries, food, clothes and study material. He has reached out to Islamic charities to request for hardship grants but has been rejected.

It is the month of Ramadan and as we know, this is a blessed month of Sadaqah. The rewards of sadaqah is multiplied 70x in this Holy month.

Charity has great significance in Islam, especially charity during Ramadan. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran:

“So, for those of you who have believed and spent (in Allah’s way), there is a big reward.”

[Al-Hadid 57:7]

“And spend (in charity) of that with which we have provided you before death comes to one of you and he says: “My Lord! If only you would delay me for a brief term (to the worldly life) so I would give Sadaqah (charity) of my wealth and be among the righteous”. [63:10].

Jazak’Allah Khair for your contributions, may Allah swt accept from you and bless you tenfold. Ameen.
