Help An NYC Cab Driver Pay For Daughter's Medical Treatment

Hello. My name is Kareem Rahma, and I am raising money for my friend JJ, who is currently unable to work due to his daughter's medical condition.

JJ was the second cab driver ever to be featured on my show, "Keep The Meter Running." We met in October 2022 and have kept in touch ever since.

JJ recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world -- his second child. The baby was born with congenital bone marrow failure, which has taken 2 months to diagnose while she was in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).

Now that she is home, JJ and his wife have to take her to the hospital multiple times a week for blood transfusions. In a few months, the doctors will begin her treatment called "stem cell transplants."

This will be a very long and challenging process.

I spoke to JJ this week, who told me that he and his wife are currently not working due to having to care for their two kids and managing care for their newborn girl.

I started this GoFundMe to help support his family and take some of the financial pressure off of them.

JJ and his family are some of the nicest people I know, and they have been my close friends ever since we met. I have learned many lessons from JJ and believe he will be an important part of my life for a long time.
