Help a Palestinian family start a new life abroad

My name is Bashar and I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin Hamza. Hamza's family have managed to escape Gaza into Egypt, and they need your help to start a new life somewhere safe. The money raised will go towards covering Hamza's father's (my uncle) medical bills for Rheumatoid arthritis, flight tickets, and living expenses for six months whilst they start a new life.

My name is Hamza — I am 14 years old from Gaza. It is with a heavy heart that I am posting on GoFundMe, but it is the only hope that we have left. We used to live a happy life in the comfort of our beautiful home in Gaza City before the war started.

Now, we have lost everything we had. I have lost my aunt and my uncle in an Israeli air strike that directly hit the home they sought refuge in. Our beautiful home that has cost us our entire life savings has turned to rubble. The indiscriminate bombing did not even spare my horse, A.R.T., that accompanied me in my show jumping classes and competitions.

Gaza is now uninhabitable. That is why we have taken the difficult decision to flee to neighbouring Egypt, where we are currently temporarily residing. Our plan is to move somewhere safe where we can start a new life. Unfortunately, this will come at an immense financial cost. What is making the situation more difficult is my father's on-going treatment for Rheumatoid arthritis. Having lost everything we had in Gaza, this is putting us under extreme financial stress. That is why we are pleading for your support. The money raised will cover my father's on-going medical treatment, flight tickets, and living expenses whilst we set up a new life somewhere safe.

Without your help, our future will be extremely uncertain, and it is unlikely that we would be able to resettle somewhere safe where we can start a new life.
