Help a Palestinian Student Evacuate Her Family

A Plea for Help: Support Palestinian Student Rawand Bring Her Family in Gaza to Safety.

I'm reaching out on behalf of Rawand, a Palestinian student from Gaza, studying medicine in Egypt. Rawand is trying to evacuate her family from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing, which can only be made possible with your support. Please see below Rawand's message:

"Dear Friends,

I’m writing this to you in a time of great urgency and need. My family of eight members lives in Gaza, facing unbelievable circumstances. My family and I are desperately seeking your support to help them evacuate to Egypt which is some miles away from Rafah in the Gaza Strip where my family is there now.

I can't explain how helpless I feel as my family suffers the hardships of the ongoing war in Gaza. The situation is becoming worse day by day, and I'm worried about their safety and thinking about them every moment.

I left Gaza 3 months ago with hopes of pursuing my degree in medicine and eventually going back to my homeland. But it's so different now, everything is different. Roads I used to walk in, homes, schools, and favorite places have all turned into ash.

I have been struggling to find a way to talk to my beloved family as internet and cellular connections are almost completely cut off. There is no food or resources left in Gaza which will lead them to starve soon, not to mention the high prices of the scarce food and goods left. Seeing what is happening to my family while I am away from them shatters me, and I am trying to find any possible way to get them out of there alive. I fear their fear. I cry with them. People ask me how I'm doing. I am in a place where I know nothing about my family and my loved ones.
