Help A pay rent while they search for work

My good friend of 8 years, A, lost their job, and has fallen behind on rent. They're actively searching for work and send countless applications each day, but have yet to secure one in this unstable job market. A needs some support to keep themself and their cat afloat until they find work. A's apartment complex also recently changed management, which may impact their rent cost and/or payment.

After January 6th, they’ll begin receiving late fees, so it's best to try and meet the goal before then.
