Help A Queer Creative Escape Homelessness.

Dear Friends & Supporters,

My name is Millie Fangs. I'm a 20-year-old transgender and biracial artist who's currently homeless after becoming a victim of domestic violence. I'm raising funds in the hopes of leaving behind my destitute situation and continuing my photography career to provide myself with a stable income and support my dreams of making art professionally.

Earlier this July, my father and I got into a very heated verbal argument that quickly flew off the rails on his behalf and ended with him strangling and shoving me because of my raised voice. Too afraid to go back home, I have been staying at a community shelter ever since. Sadly, the conditions here aren't optimal for living, rampant with bugs, rust and mold all over my dormitory.

Leaving home so quickly, I don't have any of my typical work equipment. With the help of private donations from friends, I was able to purchase a laptop capable of running Adobe Photoshop, and a camera with additional lenses to shoot various models and scenery. I've also made a portfolio website and am actively searching for work with clients of all sorts.

But that's not enough. I'm looking to the wider community for your support to assist me with getting back on my feet. Your donations will be used to give me a roof over my head, a desktop computer and iPad for design, as well as a small car for personal and work-related travel.
