Help a Rheumatoid Arthritis Fighter

Hi everyone, my name is Angelina Escalante and I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I’m 18 years old and in need of many tests and proper treatment that unfortunately I have run out of funds for. I have been battling this for almost a whole year now and have cleaned out my savings and tried to get by as long as I could without working due to my health. After getting Covid 19 earlier this year those symptoms have unfortunately worsen. I have been doing tests almost every week or two, going from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what is wrong and finally got a proper and written diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis a couple weeks ago. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a very serious autoimmune and inflammatory disease, which means that your immune system attacks healthy tissues in your body by mistake, causing severe inflammation (painful swelling) in the affected parts of the body. There is no cure for rheumatoid arthritis. RA attacks the joints and other surrounding organs and tissues. Leading to inflammation which makes my joints get tender, warm and swollen. Also joint stiffness occurs and is usually worse in the mornings. RA also causes Fatigue, fever and loss of appetite and can even lead to deformity if not treated well. Due to my condition it has left me not able to work or do much of the everyday activities. I struggle to do simple daily tasks like opening a water bottle, combing my hair and most days getting out of bed due to pain and inflammation. I am in need of proper treatment and regular testing out to gain control of my disease. Due to my condition and the limited resources in Belize we are trying to get funds so that I can get proper tests and treatment out of the country. Although there's no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, treatment and support (including medicine, supportive treatments and surgery) can reduce the risk of any more joint damage and limit the impact of the condition. I never thought in my life that I would ever be in in this position. Anyone who has the willingness in their heart to help, me and my family would surely appreciate such a blessing.
