Help My Stepdaughter Rebuild After Hurricane Devastation in Tampa

Hi Everyone!

I’m reaching out on behalf of my stepdaughter, Jennifer Godin, a single mom of three amazing kids, who recently experienced the unthinkable. After bravely relocating to Tampa less than a year ago to build a better life for her family, her home was completely devastated by the recent hurricane.

She’s always been the kind of person who gives without hesitation and never asks for anything in return. She definitely never asks for help. But right now, she needs our support more than ever. As a single mother, she’s juggling so much already, and the damage to her home has put her and the kids in a precarious position. The structural damage and loss of personal belongings have been overwhelming.

Why She Needs Our Help:

Uninhabitable Home: The hurricane has left her house severely damaged. Flooding and structural issues have made it unsafe for her family to live there.

Displaced and Starting Over: With nowhere to go, she has had to send the kids back up to Massachusetts while she assesses the damage and attempts to clean up alone.

Financial Hardship: As a single mom trying to provide for three children, she’s already stretched thin. The costs of repairs, temporary housing, and replacing essentials are far beyond what she can handle alone.

Home Repairs: Covering costs to repair structural damage, replace flooring, and address safety concerns.

Temporary Housing: Helping with short-term rental costs until her home is safe for the kids to return.

Replacing Essentials: Funding to replace personal items, furniture, and clothing that were lost in the storm.
