Help a Single Mom & Son Air-Lifted from Floods

I met my dear friend Evy 5 years ago when she became a single mama to her baby boy Noah and I've watched her work tirelessly to make her dream for them a reality--to find a farming community where she could work the land while raising and homeschooling her son. Against so many odds, she made her dream a reality this year, securing employment on land in Matilija Canyon, Ojai. THEN THE FLOODS CAME! For a week they were trapped in the canyon with no power or running water. Thankfully, they got air lifted on helicopter and are out now but most of their belongings are stuck in the canyon which might not be safe enough to access for 1-2 months! And of course, being that her work is completely flooded, even if she does get back sooner, she's out of a job for just as long if not longer. Her type of work is contracted which means she cannot file for unemployment and I have listened to her talk through literally every option available to her and I know she will not stop trying but it is VERY evident that she needs a community to rally and help her bridge these next couple months until she can safely return to her job in the Canyon. Besides helping her meet her & Noah's immediate basic needs, I am envisioning that we can raise enough for Evy to purchase a car so that she isn't stuck and can get actually around to find work in the meantime. There are times in life when we all need each other and this natural disaster is absolutely one of those times for Evy & Noah. Thank you anyone reading and contributing!
