Well, my darling old Cobalt broke down this morning, again. Literally: the catalytic converter fell to the ground while I was driving Evie to her sitter. I'm so grateful I was able to pull over right away and there were no accidents!

My trusty mechanics welded it back together, but they are pleading me not to put any more money into it, and to buy a new car before more things rust away and fall out the bottom.

I have been offered to trade in my car for a 2009 VW Jetta, $500 off of $1,500, making my base goal $1k. No rust, good tires, low mileage, also stick shift!

So basically, I'm humbly asking for any help in trading up to a more reliable *safer* transportation for me and my little girl, because I'm really not sure how I can afford it or how much longer my Cobalt will last.
