Help Christina & kids During Cancer Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracey Clear and I am fundraising for a single mother and her two children who have recently gone through some of life's hardest times. My friend, Christina, although fiercely independent, needs help this Christmas season. She is used to being the giver, not the receiver. Over the last half year she hasn't been able to keep enough food in her fridge and pantry. Without help, she won't be able to provide Christmas gifts for her children or take care of their basic necessities due to not being able to work through her chemotherapy and recovery.
Christina's husband passed away three days after Christmas last year due to kidney cancer. He was the love of her life and the hero of her children. He was a family man who put his family before himself. Her daughter was only eleven and her son 13 when he passed. That was, of course, tragic and devastating to the family, but five months later Christina was then told that she had breast cancer.
This dear mother underwent a mastectomy and began chemotherapy shortly after. During the last months she has had to drive herself back and forth, 45 minutes each way, for all doctor's appointments and chemotherapy.
She has had to take care of everything herself. She has no extended family support. She told me this about her mother, "Although we physically lost my husband, we lost my mom as well who decided that her toxicity was better to hang onto. She told me three days after losing my husband, "YOU need to knock it off. I let you cry for 3 days, you're @*&# pathetic." Then when I got cancer she said, "it's just cancer get a grip it's not that serious."
Christina also stated, "We are so alone out here. I'm terrified for this Christmas season, for my kids but I have nothing. This is my last hope. We have no holiday dinner; gas is hard to come by, trying to get to all my radiation appointments and doctor's visits. I guess with all that being said, I was wondering if there are any businesses or organizations that might want to possibly sponsor our family. I hate that this is all happening and sad that I even have to reach out. I would do anything in the world for my kids to have one day to not have to carry the burden that they lost daddy to cancer and now mommy is fighting the fight as well. I understand if there is nothing you can do, but prayer or sending good vibes would be forever greatly appreciated."
If you are able to give to help Christina and her kids get some relief this Christmas season it would be so much needed and appreciated. Even $5 from several people adds up. Like Christina said, prayers are also greatly appreciated. God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas!!
Please share Christina's story to help spread the word! Thank you!
