Help a Sudanese Doctor Continue her Education in Egypt

Hi,

My name is Samah and I am reaching out to you on behalf of Isra Fathi Guma Ahmed, a determined medical school student who has had her life and education disrupted by the brutal war in Sudan. While Isra and I do not know each other personally, I am familiar with her and her story through mutual friends who have found themselves in similar positions. All funds raised will be given to Isra. Here is a short message from Isra:

“My name is Isra, but my friends call me Sanfoura and I was a final-year medical student at Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman, Sudan before the war disrupted my education. My family and I found ourselves displaced from our homes in Khartoum and have been in Dongola, Sudan since April 2023. Both my parents have lost their jobs in the war and my father is still stuck in Khartoum where most of the fighting is taking place.

Fortunately, Ahfad University formed a partnership with Arab Academy For Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt, allowing myself and my peers to transfer and finally complete our education that has been on pause for over a year. This incredible opportunity means I can finally complete my studies and fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor, serving communities like mine.

The costs associated with relocating, however, are overwhelmingly significant. I am looking to raise 6000 USD (or the equivalent 9100 AUD) to cover:
