Help a Syracuse Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On Saturday, July 6, around midnight, Syracuse Firefighters were alerted by a 911 call of a possible fire at 331 Primrose Avenue, on the City’s South Side. When firefighters arrived at the home moments later, they found large amounts of smoke coming from the attic windows on all sides of the home. The first and second levels of the home now have large amounts of fire, smoke, and water damage.
Syracuse Fire Investigators working at the scene have determined that the fire began in the floor of the attic, above the second-floor ceiling, and was caused by an undetermined electrical malfunction.
Unfortunately, all who lived there were displaced. One of the displaced victims of this fire is a high school student who is volunteering at Upstate Medical University in the biochemistry department. Her, her mother, and younger sister are in need of assistance to get back on their feet. They were unable to save any of their belongings and have no means of transportation other than public transport.
ANYTHING will help this family to get through this very hard time and is very much appreciated!
