Help a Talented Pianist and Her Family
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Anna Kovaleva.
I am 21 years old and I am from Moscow.
As long as I remember, I was playing piano and studied to become a musician.
After graduating high school I was accepted to the most prestigious Music Conservatory of Russia.
Unfortunately, I had to abruptly quit my studies due to the unprecedented events of war between Russia and Ukraine.
My family made a decision to escape from Russia in fear of my father and my brother being drafted to the army.
Struggling to comprehend the idea of fighting against our own brothers, with my Ukrainian mother and Russian father, we sought refuge in United States.
We were lucky to start our new life in California but we had no work permits, no income, limited English, no home.
Sometimes it felt like there will be no future…..
We were fortunate to get some help from people whose kindness and support we will never forget.
We have God’s peace in our hearts and we have the privilege to offer others our musical talents.
As a great achievement in these difficult times, I was accepted as a senior student to University of Northridge, and now, despite financial struggle, I am hoping to get my degree to become a professional musician.
However, my family’s standing is still very uncertain and it leaves me with relying on the help from our community.
Your contribution would serve as a vital support for my family as we strive to establish a new life in America and help me in my education.
We are humbly grateful for any of your support.
