Help a terminal mother of two

Hi my name is Grainne and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Susan Ricken.

 

Susan and her husband John paul emigrated in 2011 from Cork, Ireland to Perth, Australia. They have been together for 15 years now. Both leaving Ireland for a better life for their future family. I met Susan through my Irish mums group in 2019, knowing instantly she was a family orientated loving mum who devoted all her time to her family.

Shes a quiet soul with a heart of gold. She would do anything to help a friend in need.

Unfortunately Susan was delivered some devastating news this week with Doctors confirming her cancer diagnosis is terminal. After 7 days in hospital and surgery of the Bowel,  Doctors have confirmed that the Cancer of the Bowel has spread to her pelvis, ovaries, lymph nodes, and lungs this fight will be to give Susan time.

 

Like many of us here in Perth, Susan and John Paul don't have their immediate family here in Australia to lean on for support therefore making this journey even more difficult.

At 35 years young, with a 2 year old son and a new little 7 month old baby daughter, Susan and John Paul need all the help they can get.

 

Im pleading with anyone and everyone who can help them financially. To support them in the coming weeks and lend a little comfort to them, in their darkest days. Susan is fighting for time and John Paul will need to be by his wifes side. Her two babies are her world. If this money will do anything, it will definately ease the burden of the bigger world for them. Let's lend a helping hand in supporting them in the coming months.

The funds raised will go towards Rent assistance, general household bills and to help Susan in her life choices in the coming months. It will also provide some assistance to fly her parents out here for support.
