help a trans person evacuate florida

Donation protected
Hello!

I am a transmasculine and nonbinary individual. I live in sunny Florida. I hit five years on testosterone on December 11th, 2023. I have yet to get my name changed and was so excited at the thought of getting my gender marker changed on my driver's license as well.

As many know, the governor is making it rather difficult for people in my community to even exist. Florida has taken unilateral administrative action and banned gender marker changes on driver's licenses. Any trans person who has had theirs changed is potentially subject to suspension. Anyone attempting to change it after could be criminally prosecuted for "fraud."

The government is preventing me from living as my true authentic self, so I have to flee my state. Unfortunately, I am disabled, funds are scarce, and I have no job at the moment because of some things that transpired, though I am actively looking. Usually, I wouldn't say I like asking for help, but I'm at a loss for what's going on in my life at the moment, and my mental health is slowly deteriorating. All I want to do is just exist and be happy for once in my life but my government can't even let me do that. So now I am forced to evacuate. I don't know what state yet, but somewhere trans-friendly and affordable. Anything helps me out. Your kindness means everything to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this !!!!

Di-George Syndrome is the name of my disability. It has been a struggle to deal with on my own. Di-George Syndrome is a disability where I was born with a missing chromosome. That chromosome is the 22nd one. In 1999, researchers working on the Human Genome Project announced they had determined the sequence of base pairs that make up this chromosome. Chromosome 22 was the first human chromosome to be fully sequenced. I am lucky and blessed enough to where I did not have to go through too many procedures as a child, but I did greatly struggle while growing up. I had speech delay and impediment. I had surgery done on my nose which this surgery was to fix a form of a cleft palate that I had. As I get older I can have issues with my kidneys, and my heart as well. I have a learning disability, and I also have hypoparathyroidism due to low calcium levels. I am taking medication for that, but the lack of funds makes it hard to acquire said meds. I am autistic as well.

For as long as I can remember, having this disability has been a roadblock in my life, to say the least. I am asking for help because, on top of moving, I have to worry about medical expenses, as well as getting testosterone, and finding the right doctor who knows of my

Disability because it is a rare one and not many know about it.

The doctor I have now does, and I am her first patient who has it that she works with.

So I need to find a doctor wherever I move to who knows what I have, all while still prescribing me testosterone.

I shouldn't have to be forced to move, but I have to. It's not fair, but I want to feel safe, and that I do not while being a disabled trans person of color. Once more, thank you for taking the time to read this. Sharing and boosting help this reach further and help me achieve my goal of being able to live as my true authentic self.
