Help A Trans Woman Survive and Pay Off Debts

Hello, thank you for viewing this. My name is Alice Villarreal (formerly Alex Barclay). In July of 2022, my $900 money order for rent was stolen out of the dropbox. Although I have done everything I can to get that refunded, there is no guarantee that I will be able to get the money back. If I do, it will be months from now and the odds are against me. I will need to start paying back rent in order to avoid eviction. Since then, I have been facing worsening money troubles related to underemployment and rising costs of living. Because of this, my credit card has been maxed out at $2500 from groceries and living expenses. The interest on my credit payments has prevented me from making any progress, as at least 80% of my already low income goes towards rent alone.
In my last fundraiser, I asked for help paying for gender-affirming laser hair removal. I was lucky to meet almost half of my $2400 goal thanks to the kindness and support of my friends. I have since been paying the remainder out of pocket at $133 a month and now have $600 left to go on gender care payments. I was hesitant to set up another one of these because I didn't want to sound desperate, but if I'm being realistic, these issues are pushing me into financial desperation and stress. I also risk death threats, stalking, and harassment by putting my identity and vulnerability on public display like this as a trans woman in Texas. But I don't care anymore, I need help.
In the past few years I have been able to avoid becoming homeless thanks to the support of friends and kind strangers. I now have 3 jobs, all of which vary greatly week-to-week on how many shifts I get. I do have family, but they also struggle to make ends meet as most of us do, and I can't ask them for this level of support in good conscience. Both of my parents passed away in 2019, and life has been rough for us since then. I would be remissed not to mention how much my good friend Hollys Ender has helped me so far when things are looking bad. She has saved me from the brink of despair many times and I cannot thank her enough for that love and support. I hope to one day be like her and help people just for the sake of being kind.
Any donation amount would be very helpful, even if it's just a few bucks. If enough people see this and donate small amounts, I could easily reach my goal of $5000. Here are the biggest problems with money I am currently facing, in order of urgency:
- Stolen rent $900
- Credit debt $2500
- Living expenses $1000
- Gender care $600
