Help a US Army Veteran, Rebuild After Tragic Fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
My name is Allie, and I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance. My mother, Lisa Keesee, is a proud US Army veteran who has faced her fair share of challenges in life. However, nothing could have prepared her for the devastating event that occurred recently.
Last summer, my stepfather passed away, leaving my mother to navigate life alone in their trailer home in Lyndon Station. Despite the loss, she found solace and companionship in her seven beloved rescue cats. Each one was a symbol of hope and love, rescued from the streets by my mother's compassionate heart.
Tragically, a house fire swept through her home yesterday, taking the lives of all seven of her cherished kitties. While we are grateful that my mother was not home at the time and physically unharmed, the emotional toll is immeasurable. These cats were not just pets; they were her family, her confidants, her reason to smile each day.
As she begins the daunting task of rebuilding her life from the ashes, I am reaching out to our community for support. I've set up this GoFundMe campaign to assist my mother in finding a new place to call home. Whether it's renting a new space or achieving her lifelong dream of homeownership, every dollar raised will make a difference in her journey towards healing and stability.
Lisa has dedicated her entire career to caring for the elderly, both in nursing homes and through home health services.
Her love for Lyndon Station runs deep, and we would appreciate any leads on homes for rent in the area as she hopes to remain in the community she adores.
I understand times are hard right now, and everyone has their own financial struggles. Your prayers and support, whether through donations or spreading the word about this campaign, mean the world to us.
Thank you,
Allie
