After arriving in Boston, the Tejada family has shown remarkable determination. The mother has already secured a job, and the father is actively seeking employment. Despite their efforts, recent shelter policy changes have forced them to temporarily stay at a church in East Boston. They are required to move out by September 1st, leaving them in urgent need of a permanent home.

The $6,000 we are hoping to raise will go directly toward the expenses of finding a home such as the first and last month's rent, security deposit, and essential household items. Finding an affordable rental in Boston can be challenging, and landlords typically require the first month's rent, the last month’s rent, and a security deposit upfront. This amount is critical for the family to secure a place they can call home. They will also need to purchase basic household items to set up their new home, ensuring it’s a safe and comfortable environment for their daughter.
