Help a veterans family secure their future after his passing
My name is Michael Wade. I am a medically retired army veteran. About a year and a half ago I was told I had stomach cancer. I imeadiately started Chemotherapy and then surgery in August of 2024.
I noticed not even a month later something wasn't right. I went back and they found a pocket caused from my wound. They opened my wound to allow it to drain on the outside. The pain got worst.
After a couple months or so my pain has gotten real bad in my intestines and my bladder it would cause dry heaving and now I was unable to eat.I have lost 100lbs.
I had changed my oncologist closer to home for ease of access and for obvious medical reasons. The new oncologist ordered a PET scan.
The PET scan was not good, and I was diagnosed to be terminal (less than a year to live) .
I am here to ask for help. But not for me. But for my wife and kids. When I first found out about the cancer, I was told they could remove my stomach and I could live a normal life. So with the scare I decided to buy a home incase later I ended up dying. That was my wife and kids will always have a place to call home.
I did just that. But quickly after that I was told I was terminal. This whole experience has destroyed my family and I both emotionally and financially. With a lot more to go. Not giving my wife enough time to get a job that will cover the mortgage.
I will be using the military burial, but there are mortuary costs and the coffin. All well taking care of me..
I am asking for help to do this. I want my wife to have enough to pay the mortgage and bills long enough to get where she has found a good enough job and has recovered from loosing me. I myself do not fear death. My fear is my families welfare when I am gone.
