Help a Volunteer Firefighter Battling Cancer

If you ask anyone in the fire service how they would describe it, most would say as a family. We refer to our coworkers, fellow volunteers, members as brothers and sisters. They are your second family that is with you in the fun times, and also in the very worst of times.
Right now one of our brothers needs help.
Chris Guizio is a 28 year veteran of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also serves as the fire departments' Director of Operations. In those 28 years, Chris has responded on over 4,900 calls, helped numerous individuals in their time of need, and helped save countless lives.
In early March, Chris found out he had a tumor on his lymph node. Shortly after that, he found out it was cancerous. In the very beginning, the doctors gave a good outlook as the cancer is operable and there is a very good success rate.
Two days prior to his operation, Chris found out that the operation could not happen because of the current COVID-19 pandemic. He now has to go through seven weeks of chemotherapy and radiation to try to shrink and ultimately eliminate the tumor, which is extremely taxing on the body.
The next few weeks are going to be very hard for Chris both physically, mentally, and financially. Time off for treatments, transportation, and of course the cost of those treatments are all going to take a financial toll for Chris and his family. Chris is being helped through this fight through his loving wife, son, and his brothers and sisters at the Richland Township Fire Department.
We at the RTFD are doing everything possible to support our brother in his time of need. We are now asking the public as a whole to consider helping this selfless individual as he battles his way through this bump in the road.
