Help a well loved dog

Meet Elsa Blu Cheese Crumbles. She is a three-year old Miniture Australian Shepherd. Elsa Blue is so very loved by her family from when she was 4 months old.
Last night 12/2/16 Elsa was a naughty doggie and slipped out of the house without her invisible fence collar and ran in front of a car. Such a horrible cry as she darted back where she belonged inside our house. A dog crying in pain is a very emotional thing. With extend family and small children present we were all traumatized. We love her so very much.
To our veterinary hospital we went and after extensive X-rays we found Elsa Blu had a terrible break in her left elbow. Amputation was mentioned as well as surgery to place a pin in the elbow. The surgery was estimated to be between $3200-$3400. Our initial bill was $1100 which we were able to put on our card which maxed it out.
So in a matter not comfortable to me,I am reaching out to implore to those who may be able to help out our beloved dog. I feel that without the surgery she will be in constant pain by the bone being pulled out of place continually by a tendon,or have a seized up leg forever that also would cause a lifetime of pain. Without the surgery I would consider putting her down, but at three years old there is so much life in her, and so much companionship to all of us.
