My name is Tia and I am a professional in the WordPress community. I am reaching out for support during a challenging time for my family & I with the hope that we can finally find stability and safety in our everyday lives.

For the past year, my son, our beloved family pets, and I have been experiencing homelessness, moving around from hotel to hotel, and almost ending up in our vehicle a few times.

Just two years ago, my son was valedictorian at his school. We both had so much potential and hope. But I lost my job during the end of covid and it created an avalanche of loss and instability.

It's been a tough journey, but we've remained resilient and are now on the brink of turning things around, getting parts of our lives stable one by one.

He loves to bake and cook. He works as a line cook with aspirations to grow his skills. I am working on building a WordPress related company that helps support businesses and contribute knowledge to the WP community.

Still, we face difficult daily challenges that make transitioning into a stable home difficult. We lack good sleep. Clothes are washed and dried by hand. There is barely any room to do anything.

My son loves to bake but cannot practice his skills as we have no stove or oven. The location isn't exactly safe. Every single penny of our income goes into keeping a roof over our head and transportation.

We need help to transition into a more stable living situation closer to my son's work and into a permanent place to call home.
