Support Ahmed, a journalist in Gaza, and his family

Hello, I am journalist Ahmed Al-Maqadma, a 29 year old journalist from Gaza. I work as a freelancer with international agencies and channels.

Since the beginning of this war and genocide since October 7, 2023, we have been victims of this war. We have lost our dreams, our work, our studies, and everything we built in our years. Like all the people of Gaza, we suffered the bitterness of losing our loved ones and friends. We endured displacement and a life in tents. My family members were unable to complete their education after their universities were bombed, and there are now no more universities in Gaza.

I have worked since the first hour of the war to cover its events and transmit the picture so that the whole world can see the truth about what is happening in Gaza, the genocide it is being subjected to. This was not easy, as I lost all of my equipment, which costs thousands of dollars, after it was bombed. The occupation planes were at the house of one of my friends in Gaza City, but despite that, our mission in the field continued with the minimum of capabilities and using my iPhone. We defied all dangers and were literally transmitting the picture from the heart of the fire. I lost many of my journalist friends who were working with me to cover the events of this war.

We have hope to try and start again, achieve our dreams and complete our university education, and we need your support to achieve our goals.

Few journalists remain in Gaza, with many evacuating for their own safety, but Ahmed remains steadfast. Every donation matters and affirms the value of his work.
