Help a Young Mother Fight Unjust Charges

On Sunday September 30th I got into an altercation with the father of my child for pulling my daughter’s hair. He ended up taking my phone and then he drove off with my kids in the car after trying to get physical with me in the car. I was stuck in Farmington with no phone no car and my kids in the vehicle with him. I started getting hysterical. His mom was standing outside of the church we were planning on attending and she wouldn’t let me go inside to get someone to get ahold of my family for me so I could get home and get my kids. When she finally convince her son to bring my girls back his mom was already throwing me on the floor and tackling me all because I was being “hysterical” obviously making it worse. She then called the cops and told the cops I attacked HER and punched her when all I did was push her off me in self denfense because I was trying to get to my girls. Once the cops arrived I was already going insane I have really bad anxiety which I take medication for and I had not taken it yet so I was frantic at that point crying and being loud trying to explain my side to the cops, they kept telling me to shut up. Would no listen to my side of the story. He went as far as to tell them I was drunk because of my “reaction” and the cops took his word for it. They arrested me for public disorder after I kept trying to explain myself to them and kept telling them to look at his previous charges and to see that I was acting out of anger not out of intoxication and they would not listen. I was not breathalyzed. And I was not allowed to tell me story I was put in handcuffs and I was arrested and booked in to jail. Now I’m fighting a felony at 22 years old I’ve never been in jail before I till that day and I’ve never had any charges before those charges. I’m having to invest in a lawyer so I don’t ruin my chances of my future but I have no savings and I just lost my job due to being in jail for three days. And being charged with a felony. If there is anyone who would be willing to read through this and help out I would be so great full for any help given it would all go to my lawyer I need a down deposit of $5000 just to get my case started.
