Help Aaliyah rebuild after Clarksville, TN Tornado

Hi, my name is Mary and I’m the aunt of Aaliyah Merritt. On Saturday, December 9, 2023, her life was turned upside down when a tornado struck the apartment complex where she lived in Clarksville, TN. Thank God she and her son, Farian survived. The downside is that they lost everything! She was able to get her son and the dog out safely after bunkering in the bathroom while everything around them collapsed.

She does have renters insurance, but they will not even begin meeting with the adjusters until the area can be surveyed safely. Aaliyah described how her back porch came into her bedroom, how the roof caught fire and how belongings flew everywhere. They literally cannot sift through the devastation because the stairwell collapsed. They have to literally leave everything behind. She was able to grab her son, important papers, her dog and the ashes of her deceased daughter Zoe.

They have immediate needs and will be in a hotel for a while trying to adjust to life as it is now. Aaliyah is set to start a new job on December 17th. Christmas finds them with no home or anything, but they have their Faith. Please consider helping them during this time.
