Help Aaron Walker during his battle with cancer

Donation protected

I am starting this fundraiser for my drummer Aaron Walker. He was informed by his doctor recently that he had to start chemotherapy in June. Haven't really talked much about it over the past few months, but now, more than ever, he will need all of our support. It is never easy to be told something like " hey, you have cancer". Your support system is what really gets you through times like these. Aaron is strong in body, mind, and spirit. He has a good heart, and a powerful soul which he shows through his love for drumming and playing music. He has been a blessing to myself and our band Revelus since he first joined the crew, and still continues to be. Please just send some love for our brother Aaron as he crosses this bridge into the unknown. Healing vibes is what we need. Thank you all for the support.

A Quote from Aaron's father Shane Walker to kind of get an idea of the odds that Aaron has gone up against in his life.

"My son Aaron Walker this morning who is in the battle of his life fighting cancer. He was diagnosed with cancer 3-months ago and started aggressive chemotherapy this week, and will continue through mid August. Most don't know his history but Aaron and his twin brother Ryan Walker where born 3-months early at 26-weeks of pregnancy. Aaron weighed 1lb 15oz and dropped below a pound. Hospitalized for over 3-months, he was diagnosed with a Grade 4 cerebral hemorrhage (worse case), undeveloped organs which included his brain, and many more physical problems. At that time the Dr. told us that his brain bleeds where the worst he could have, and that he had never seen a child recover and would never walk normally, have full blown cerebral palsy and be confined to a wheelchair. Fast fwd 23 yrs and my son is one of the smartest, most talented individuals I've ever known and beat the worlds odds and has led a full normal life! He is a musical artist and since the age of 3 has taught himself to play the drums and has more talent in his little pinky than I have with both hands! He and his brother are living miracles and overcame so much through life. I believe Gods Word to be true and just as He healed them before, He can and will do it again! God is still in the miracle business and the same yesterday, today, and forever. I'd ask you to join me in faith and prayer for my son Aaron, praying for healing and strength in his physical body, peace in his mind and spirit, safety and continued blessings as he goes through yet another trial in life. He is a believer, and fighter and I know just as before, God gives wisdom to Doctor's and they will do everything they can, but what they can't do, God WILL!"

Aaron and I talked while he endured his first of 4 weeks consisting of 6 to 8 hours of chemotherapy treatments which end on August 13, 2021. This is what Aaron had to say in regard to the treatment.

" Physically I feel weak and just not myself having to eat just to have any energy. The 1st 2 days of chemo were pretty easy but the third day and throughout the fifth day it was down hill from there. I felt dizzy I felt nauseous I felt weak I had a whole brain fog where I couldn't think straight Yet I didn't know which way was down I couldn't read texts I couldn't read books I couldn't watch TV I couldn't play video games Hell I couldn't even color in a Coloring book I felt very nauseous to certain smells and certain foods My blood pressure was up my weight was up because of all the Steroids and the fluids that they injected me with During treatment. I'm mumbled a lot and couldn't speak clearly. I'd stop in the middle of a sentence because I couldn't think what was supposed to come next. My brain wasn't functioning properly I took things for granted that you wouldn't normally think about. That's how the first week and the last two days without treatment went. It has put me out of work from June 6th to August 17th. Trying to go back to work especially with covid going around and my immune system being shot is too much of a risk."

Aaron has since then started losing his hair as the chemotherpy has started to course through his system as he has recently started his second week of treatment. He still has a long way to go but considering his situation and things being up and down with side effects regarding the treatments, he is still in good spirits.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated during this very difficult time for such a great, talented 23 year old with a huge heart. Thank you all so much for your consideration.
